Total Utilities is New Zealand’s leading multi-utility consultancy offering comprehensive services covering the procurement, monitoring, and management of Energy, Waste and ICT. Total Utilities have a Certified Measurement & Verification Professional (CMVP) supported by Energy Action to ensure framework is in place to reliably measure and report on savings.

Energy Action's Projects & Advisory Services team is headed by Dr Paul Bannister. Dr Bannister is a board member of the Energy Management Association of New Zealand (EMANZ), a member of the NZ Green Building Council advisory board. Dr Bannister has had substantial involvement in the development and adaptation of NABERS NZ, a tool derived from Australia's NABERS, pioneered by Dr Bannister.

In New Zealand, funding is available from the Energy Efficiency Conservation Authority (EECA) for businesses to become energy efficient. EECA is the government agency that works to improve the energy efficiency and encourages the uptake of renewable energy. Consultants that meet the performance criteria are approved by EECA as business partners who get access to funding and Energy Action are on the list of approved business partners.  For more information see
